The panel of speakers will feature some of the most renowed specialists in the world, such as doctors Stanley Chang, Francesco Bandello, Marco Zarbin, Kourous Rezaei, Arnd Gandorfer, Mark Blumenhranz, Francesco Boscia, Marco Mura, Yusuke Oshima, as well as other ophthalmologists from over ten countries. It will also be attended by G. Guarnaccia, director of ESASO (European School for Advanced Studies in Ophtalmology), who worked closely with IMO to organise the first conference.

Exceptional testimonies

The event will feature a live surgery session on 7 June, in which eight procedures will be performed in four of IMO's operating theatres. The operations will be screened in IMO’s auditorium, from where the audience will be able to listen to explanations given by the surgeons in theatre and have the opportunity to ask questions and offer their appraisals. This session will be of particular interest to young ophthalmologists, who will have the chance to observe, at first hand, the techniques used by the prestigious team of retinologists participating in the event.
